The Anniversary: 20 Years of Dance and Passion

On June 8, 2025, the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center in Miami transformed into a stage of pure dance joy and emotion. The occasion: the 20th anniversary of Dancing INXS Dance Studio, and the entire community came together to celebrate this milestone.

Founded in 2005, Dancing INXS has grown from a small local dance studio into one of Miami’s premier talent hubs. Over 3,000 young dancers have trained here over the past two decades — many of whom remain part of the INXS family long after their formal classes.

The 20th Anniversary Recital was much more than a performance — it was a heartfelt celebration. More than 150 dancers of all ages took the stage to present breathtaking choreographies in Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Flamenco, and Latin Fusion. Every performance radiated the passion and dedication poured into this anniversary event.

Founder Adriana Nassiff: The Heart and Soul of the Studio

At the center of this incredible success story stands Adriana Nassiff, a woman who has become a true legend in Miami’s dance community.
When she took over Dancing INXS 20 years ago, she had a clear vision: to create a place where dance is not only taught, but truly lived — a place where children and teens build self-confidence, form lasting friendships, and learn core values like discipline, respect, and teamwork.

Originally from Colombia, Adriana brings an impressive artistic background. She danced professionally in various ensembles, taught Ballet and Flamenco, and performed in operatic productions and TV shows in Miami. She has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Influential Business Woman Award.

But what truly defines her is her authentic passion for dance and community. On the anniversary stage, Adriana delivered an emotional thank you to all dancers, parents, and supporters:
“Without you, this dream would not be possible. Dancing INXS is not my studio — it is our shared home.”

Her words perfectly reflect why Dancing INXS is more than just a dance school — it is a family.

A Stage for All: Children with Disabilities in the Spotlight

One of the most moving moments of the evening came with the performance of the “Special 21” group — children with Down syndrome who participate weekly in classes through the Everlasting Dance Foundation, supported by Dancing INXS.

Under the loving guidance of dedicated instructors and volunteer assistants, these children prepared their own choreography for the big night — and their moment on the stage at the 20th Anniversary Recital was nothing short of magical.

When the “Special 21” dancers entered the spotlight, the entire audience held its breath. What followed was pure joy: radiant smiles, proud movements, and a performance that captured everyone’s hearts. By the end, the crowd rose for a well-deserved standing ovation, with many emotional tears throughout the venue.

This powerful moment showcased how true inclusion is deeply woven into the fabric of Dancing INXS. Here, every child — regardless of ability — has the chance to express themselves and feel fully part of the dance community.

Over the past 20 years, Dancing INXS has built an impressive reputation as a talent incubator.
Many current and former students have earned prestigious awards at both national and international competitions, including:

• Teen Solo National Champion at the Star Dance Alliance Finals
• Multiple-time winners of the NextStar National Championship Victory Cup
• Diamond Studio Award for overall studio excellence
• Numerous choreography, costume, and audience awards

Several alumni have even turned professional, performing with international pop stars, on cruise ships, and as members of renowned dance companies.

What connects them all is the foundation laid at Dancing INXS — a commitment to discipline, passion, and team spirit.

Miguel Ángel Roa, a Colombian dancer and choreographer already known to many readers of SunCityMiami305Exclusive, played a special role during the anniversary event.

As an active part of the Dancing INXS family, Miguel Ángel contributes as a mentor and coach, inspiring the next generation of dancers. His involvement in this milestone event underscored his strong connection to the studio and its mission.
